As a new boat owner who reluctantly races, I gotta admit that maintaing perspective is my most difficult obstacle. If I did poorly and can pinpoint all those places where I did so, its tough to shake it off. Its one of those situations where success has many fathers and defeat is an orphan syndrome.

For you skippers that are really serious I have gained a new respect for what you go through during the season. I guess thats why I bought a friendly boat, look for the broad reaches, and worry about not spilling my beer.
