For a person of the Jewish Faith, (like Gerry Henry Thumper), the Hamstring was one of those things we just never mentioned we had in our bodies.

We were told that if invited to an easter dinner, and you did happen to like the taste of Ham, that the string part was very chewey and shouldn't be ingested no matter what your faith was. Eating Ham, the Lord will forgive, eating string, the Lord needs to send you to a specialist.

I learned last week that indeed Jewish people too have a Hamstring Muscle. It was not a casual discovery. Nor was it a findig that was particularly comforting. Adding to the "discomfort" at the time was that by nature I thought, appendacidis, kidney stone, gall stones, maybe even strings.

The good doctors at the Fairwiew Hospital ER assured me after systematic, poking, proding, having me turn my head to the right and to the left while producing a cough that indeed it was a hamstring muscle.

Damn, I cuddah been a contendah, now I'm just in palookaville.
